"Les Aventures De L'Hippopotame Peuple"

Traveling With Soreness = No No.

I started my dieting of eating very few if not none “bad”/unhealthy foods & no eating after 6pm.

There are exceptions of course! If I go traveling, that is.

The Quatro: Stellar, Grace, Sharon and I went to our next trip destination: NOVA/D.C.
It was crazy fun, and tiring.
First, we stopped at Annandale to eat at a Korean Soon-Dae Restaurant, and We ordered a lot and shared with each other. Then we parked the car, and we took the metro from East Falls Church to Smithsonian. From there, our game began.

We split into two teams: Grace & Sharon / Stellar & I
Our objective was to give each other 3 things to take a picture with (person place or thing, etc)
We had them do: Caveman, Military person, a rectangle statue with Virginia on it.
They had us do: Porsche, Pink Door, Papaya Tree (Are you kidding me?)
Honestly, I don’t think it was quite fair in terms of what we had to find, but I wanted to try at least!
Grace and Sharon found the caveman and statue easily, but no military person could be found.
Stellar and I walked SO LONG AND FAR. I don’t even want to talk about it.
We were exhausted–we ended up somewhere in the city 9th street, G? We found a pink door though! It was a rectangle pink  newspaper holder thing that you see on the sidewalks of the city streets. Darn, we ended up giving up (all of us) & went to meet up at a coffee shop.

Next stop: China town!
We sat and drank delicious smoothies & iced coffees at Corner Bakery.
I wish we had more to time to look around, but due to that seek and capture game, we were limited in time.
We left to the metro to go to our next stop: Foggy Bottom-GW – George Town!

George Town was truly so marvelously beautiful!
So much people, and different shops to look in–I definitely have to go back later.
We walked down for a bit, and took some pictures posing (of course).
We took a taxi back to the metro, because Sharon injured her ankle (and she was wearing heel sneaker wedges) & I also injured my foot (it wasn’t too bad). I accidentally stepped on a chain link fence, and while I pulled my foot out, it scratched my foot all over.

As we headed back to the metro, it was packed inside!
People really wanted to head home, and I loved the bustling and trudging noise of the metro.
I saw faces of exhaustion, contemplation, rest, judgement, concentration, sadness and disappointment. I do not know what is on their minds of course, but I sang a small tune to uplift the atmosphere as I looked out into the darkness of the tunnels.
I felt peaceful in that moment.
